I want to find the perfect set of eyes in the perfect light. I liked this one enough to publish – the light is nice and natural.

Pippi Longstocking (Langstrumpf) was one of my favorite TV characters when I was younger. I wanted to be able to lift a horse (although I wasn’t so keen on the red braids!).

The photo above is not a homage to Pippi but post-processing reminded me of my childhood, how fun!

This photo from a recent shoot has a particular visual power over me. Every time I see it I think – wow! I can’t put my finger on it but I found it stricking enough many times over to decide to publish it here. Its the same model as in the previous photo.

This conjured up images from the brilliant ‘Ender’s Game’ series. The ants look like they are conversing, having an arguement about something or clearly trying to agree on something. I wouldn’t want to spoil anyone’s reading of the above mentioned book, but anyone who is familiar with the story knows why I tagged this photo with ‘juxtaposition’. Buggers just don’t talk like this!

But for everyone else, keep in mind that worker ants are on broad display in the middle of the financial district. A cruel, cruel joke by the city planning committee? Or self-reflection within the industry? You decide.

This thing plunged down the other side of the dune shortly after this was taken, and so did we, following close behind. Fantastically thrilling fun.

Taken in the desert outside Dubai. These trees are amazing, I’ve never touched anything as dry as the trunks of these trees. For something so alive, to be so dry is a foreign idea to me.

From the Palm Jumeirah Series, the lighting on this building is out-standing. Lighting buildings for dramatic effect has become an integral ingredient to making modern architecture work. Because of the Salmon colour scheme and Arabian detail on the Atlantis hotel, the effect is greatly enhanced.
